CALCULATION OF PV INSTALLATIONS

Kabel++ has two facilities to calculate solar panels

A wizard to easily let the program do PV array settings by itself,
and an unique calculation sheet where a PV array can be entered and the program calculates all cross sections.

In the wizard for a single cable, one can choose whether it is the cabling in front or behind the inverter. Of course, the efficiency of the inverter, the influence of the actual power vs. the peak power of the panels is also calculated.

PV array module

In the PV array module, calculations are based on the Impp, Isc and the Umpp. The reverse current, or allowable return current is also evaluated. It is also calculated whether surge protection should be applied (IEC 62305-2).
